(October 1, 2011) – Today, Converse Inc. announces the launch of the Holiday 2011 Black Canvas premium men’s apparel collection, an extension of the collection’s fall debut, that continues to play on Converse’s rich heritage in sport and rock ‘n roll. A celebration of individuality and self expression, the holiday collection incorporates seasonal materials and conceptual new outerwear. Pieces include intricate knitwear, lightweight hoodies and jackets, and casual shirts and pants, perfect gear for a stylish and functional winter wardrobe.
The new collection takes neutral gray and black to new levels of everyday wear with functional layering and an edgy vintage inspiration. With masculine colors at its core, jewel tones are woven into the collection through elaborate garment dyes, subtle patterns, blended yarns and new translations of winter materials.
New seasonal materials allow individual style to shine. Fleeces are made even softer with interesting stitches and finishes, executed in innovative silhouettes, taking traditional fleece to a whole new realm of comfort and style. Bulky cable stitched sweaters present an oversized effortless look, but are comprised of ultra light yarns making them perfect for layering. Premium t-shirts are printed with archived Converse graphics, and then garment dyed for the quintessential vintage look. A leather motorcycle jacket features a snap-off shearling collar for transitional wear.
