Converse unveils a never-before-heard live version of Green Day’s new single, “Oh Love” exclusively at www.converse.com on October 4th. The single is the first to be released off the iconic punk rock band’s new album Green Day ¡Uno!, their first of their trilogy Green Day ¡Uno!, Green Day ¡Dos!, and Green Day ¡Tré!.
Converse’s release of the live version of “Oh Love” comes on the heels of their exclusive Chuck Taylor All Star collection launch in collaboration with the Grammy® Award winners. On September 25th, Converse unveiled the first shoe in the collection, timed to the band’s album release of Green Day ¡Uno!. Converse is set to launch the second and third shoes for Green Day ¡Dos!, and Green Day ¡Tré! on Tuesday, November 13, 2012; and Tuesday January 15, 2012. The shoes are inspired by the band members and the three new album covers. The Green Day Chuck Taylor All Star Collection is available for a suggested retail price of $60 at Journeys stores (www.journeys.com) and www.converse.com.

Converse’s first shoe of this collection features a screen print of the ¡Uno! album title, set against the vibrant green background of the album jacket. The lining of the shoe features a bright pink x’ed out pattern with Billie Joe Armstrong’s image on the tongue of the shoe.
Green Day’s new albums are the follow-up to the Grammy® Award-winning “21st Century Breakdown,” and are produced by the band’s long-time producer, Rob Cavallo.

GREEN DAY - vocalist/guitarist BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool – were kids from working-class backgrounds who came of age in the underground punk scene in Berkeley. Even though they had released two records prior ( 1039 / Smoothed Out Slappy Hours and Kerplunk), they announced their arrival with 1994's Dookie, a dynamic blast of exuberant punk-pop that sold 15 million copies and earned the band its first Grammy® Award for Best Alternative Music Performance.
