Today, CONVERSE Inc., announces the worldwide release of its second holiday compilation “Noise to the World” presented by Converse Rubber Tracks. The limited-edition compilation features six-songs that include new holiday covers and original holiday tracks by various artists and musicians involved with the international Converse Rubber Tracks program. Divided into three, holiday-themed split singles, “Noise to the World” pairs original tracks by renowned acts including Deer Tick, Dum Dum Girls, and Iamsu!, with original and cover singles by up-and-coming artists who have recorded at a Converse Rubber Tracks studio. These include GRMLN, Michael Christmas, and Torreblanca.

Highlighting the diversity of the rapidly growing Converse Rubber Tracks platform, “Noise to the World” infuses this holiday season with the hip-hop, rock, and folk sounds of various artists from around the globe. Songs will be released digitally in three waves of split singles on https://soundcloud.com/conversemusic/sets/noise-to-the-world-2 during the first week of December:

To run in conjunction with the digital download, there will also be special holiday performances by various Converse Rubber Tracks artists, at select Converse inline stores across the U.S. Scheduled performances throughout the month include:

Converse Rubber Tracks was born out of the brand’s desire to give back to the music community and provide a useful platform for emerging artists to express their creativity.  Founded in Brooklyn in July 2011, Converse Rubber Tracks has provided thousands of emerging artists the opportunity to record in a state-of-the art studio at no cost, hosting musicians in Brooklyn, as well as in pop-up studios throughout the U.S., Asia, Europe, and Latin America.

Launching in 2012 in Brooklyn, Converse Rubber Tracks Live - the stage extension of the program - is a free concert series that has since expanded worldwide to cities including Los Angeles, Boston, Brooklyn, San Francisco, Austin, Beijing, and Mexico City. The lineup for each show includes opening performances by previous Converse Rubber Tracks recording artists, each handpicked by acclaimed headliners.

Converse Rubber Tracks is a state-of-the-art recording studio that is located in the Williamsburg neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. The 5,200 square-foot, full-service recording space aims to support emerging artists by providing them access to a top-level recording studio at no cost. Artists and bands of all genres and ages from around the world are encouraged to apply and, upon acceptance, may reserve time in the studio to work alongside a team of experienced engineers. Fully equipped with the best instruments and equipment supplied by Converse Rubber Tracks partner Guitar Center, artists will spend time creating their work and in the end retain all the rights to their music.
